What has he done in risk management?

• Risk management in fast-moving technology environments: managed risk through automated risk monitoring systems and AI, with governance and compliance across business functions, leading to a consistent reduction in fraud incidents, operational failures and revenue leakage.
• Leadership roles: Head Risk and Fraud; SVP and Head of Operational and Environmental Risk; Senior Manager and Regional Head HTS Operational Risk and Internal Control, MENA. In these roles he led teams, developed in-house risk management software and maintained regulatory compliance.
• Framework implementations: operational risk management frameworks and systems including SAS, Kalypto and BenchMatrix, and work on a centralised Export Refinance Management System for the State Bank of Pakistan.
• Technology: a PHP developer who has built banking automation solutions still in use, and the designer of Doorstep International's risk register and cloud risk management software.
• Financial crime: pursuing the Certified Financial Crime Specialist (CFCS) qualification and associated with TAMLO for AML training of senior executives.

AI governance is being built on top of operational risk, model risk, fraud and compliance disciplines.
